1. Who we are

2. What WindCast is
WindCast continuously compares several weather models against live measurements from weather stations in a sailing venue, and shows which model currently sits closest to those measurements. The forecast shown is corrected for that model's measured deviation.
WindCast is a tool for race preparation. It is not a navigation aid, not a substitute for official forecasts or warnings, and not suitable as the only basis for safety decisions. See also the disclaimer.
3. Subscription and access
The Medemblik venue is available without an account and free of charge. Other venues require a subscription.
A subscription gives access to any three venues from the standard list, in addition to the freely accessible venue. You may change your selection, with a maximum of one change per calendar month.
On request we may add a venue that is not yet on the list. We decide whether and when to do so; an added venue counts within the three venues of your subscription unless agreed otherwise.
An account is for personal use. Do not share login details.
4. Price and payment
Prices include VAT and are stated on the sign-up page. Payment is handled by Mollie. Monthly subscriptions are collected monthly, annual subscriptions annually.
If a payment fails, we will send a reminder. If payment is not made, we may suspend access.
We may change the price. We will announce any price change at least one month in advance, so you can cancel before it takes effect.
5. Cancellation
You can cancel at any time from your account page. Access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for; there is no refund for the remaining part.
6. Availability
We aim for a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. WindCast depends on external sources (including weather stations and model providers) that are outside our control. Maintenance may cause temporary interruptions.
7. Liability
We are not liable for damage arising from the use of WindCast or from decisions made on the basis of the information shown. Where liability is not excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for your subscription in the twelve months preceding the damage.
This limitation does not apply in case of intent or gross negligence on our part.
8. Changes
We may amend these terms. We will inform you in advance of any material change. Continued use of the service after that means the new version applies.
9. Governing law
Dutch law applies to this agreement.
